The new trailer for the superb Norwegian disaster movie The Wave has just arrived online. The film, which we reviewed at the 2015 London Film Festival, arrives in cinemas later this year.
Here’s the synopsis:
Even though awaited, no-one is really ready when the mountain pass of Åkneset above the scenic narrow Norwegian fjord Geiranger falls out and creates a 85 meter high violent tsunami. A geologist is one of those caught in the middle of it.
Our review said the following of Roar Uthaug’s film:
The ultimate thrill ride that will have you on the edge of your seat throughout. Exhilarating, engrossing, impressive high-octane filmmaking, with a proper and realistic story at its heart.
Uthaug will next direct a reboot of the Tomb Raider series.
The Wave is released Stateside on March 4th, 2016. Check out the trailer below.
