Sherilyn Fenn gets the Horne for ‘Twin Peaks’

Sherilyn Fenn Twin Peaks

Sherilyn Fenn is returning to Twin Peaks as screen siren Audrey Horne. The surreal soap opera has welcomed home one of its defining characters according to Deadline, with Fenn reportedly joining the shoot alongside original stars Kyle MacLachlan, Sheryl Lee, Miguel Ferrer, Michael Horse and David Patrick Kelly. Newcomers include Amanda Seyfried, Balthazar Getty and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

The revival of the cult Nineties hit sees creators David Lynch and Mark Frost pick up the action twenty-five years later. Back then Audrey was a teen temptress who could do wicked things to a cherry stalk. We last encountered her in a bank shortly before it blew up. “Peakies” will be chomping at the bizarre bit to find out what’s happened to her in the last quarter of a century.

Showtime are producing the new season and may have played a major hand in bringing Fenn into the fold. She has guested on Shameless and Ray Donovan for the same channel. She also worked with Lynch on Wild At Heart and for his daughter Jennifer in controversial amputation romance Boxing Helena.

The weirdness begins in 2017. Lynch and Frost have written all the scripts and Lynch directs. No idea what to expect? Here’s a typically offbeat teaser trailer.
