The dust has started to settle on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and we’re all starting to gaze in the direction of Gareth Edwards for the first Star Wars spin-off, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which will hit cinemas this December. Further down the line is Phil Lord and Chris Miller‘s Han Solo movie, which will feature a younger version of Harrison Ford’s iconic character.
Well, further details have been revealed from the movie from The Force Awakens screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan. In a new interview with Indiewire, the screenwriter revealed more about the plot and when it will all take place.
“It will not be here’s where he was born and this is how he was raised. I think what it will be is, what was he like 10 years earlier, maybe a little earlier, you’ll get a glimpse”, Kasdan said to the website.
“But Kurosawa once said the heroes are the ones that are still changing and the villains are locked and petrified into what they are. And Harrison embodies in Force Awakens someone who is still not settled on who he is,” Kasdan added.
We’re not expecting the stand-alone Han Solo movie until May 25th, 2018, so expect more news, including that all-important casting of the iconic role in the coming months.
