One of the best films heading to cinemas this January is the big screen adaptation of the bestselling novel Room. We first caught the film at the BFI London Film Festival back in October where we gave it a well deserved five stars. It’s truly breathtaking, truly special and a must-see for everyone.
One of the marvels of the film is the central performance of now nine-year-old actor Jacob Tremblay as Jack, a child who is being held captive in a small room along with his mother, played by an equally superb Brie Larson. Both Brie and Jacob and are getting some huge acclaim for the film, all of which is well deserved.
Just before Christmas, I caught up with Jacob and director Lenny Abrahamson where we talked about the movie, winning a big award at the Moët Independent Film Awards the night before, shooting such a challenging movie and plans for the future.
Read our review at the end of the link above, and catch our interview with Jacob and Lenny below.
Room is released in cinemas across the UK from Friday 15th January, 2016.
