Producers Guild Of America awards nominees announced

pgaThis year’s Producers Guild Of America awards nominations gave been announced. The annual PGA awards give a very good indication on the films that could go on to feature in the Best Picture category at the Academy Awards (film categories), which are announced later this month.

Nomnated in the film category is the superb Ex Machina, George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road, Ridley Scott’s The Martian, Adam Mackay’s The Big Short, Steven Spielberg’s Bridge Of Spies, Saorise Ronan starrer Brooklyn, the critically acclaimed The Revenant, Emily Blunt drugs-cartel movie Sicario, the drama Spotlight and the superb music biopic Straight Outta Compton. Anomalisa, The Good Dinosaur, Inside Out, Minions and The Peanuts Movie feature in the animation category.

The Producers Guild also recognises TV, both fact and fiction and winners will be announced on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
