Doctor Strange first look: Benedict Cumberbatch leds Marvel’s 2016 film.
It has been known for some time now that our very own Benedict Cumberbatch will be the actor to bring the sorcerer supreme, Doctor Strange to life on the big screen. Now, with camera’s rolling on Marvel’s Doctor Strange for just over a month in Nepal and London, fans were beginning to wonder how long they had to wait until we got our first glimpse of the mystical superhero. Well, it seems that our patience has now paid off as Entertainment Weekly have revealed the bagged the Doctor Strange first look at Cumberbatch fully suited and booted as Doctor Stephen Strange himself. Check it out below!
After fans, movie-buffs and comic enthusiasts across the world have picked their collective jaws up from the floor, we suspect that this image will be thoroughly analysed, inspected and dissected. However, one thing that we can be sure of….is that Benedict Cumberbatch may be yet another example of Marvel executing some absolutely perfect casting here.
While some preferred the idea of Joaquin Phoenix or Tom Hardy in the role, few have ever doubted and immense talent of Cumberbatch and his uncanny likeness to his comic counterpart. Only time will tell if Marvel Studios can once again deliver a smash-hit blockbuster that kickstart’s a new franchise. But, after Guardians of The Galaxy, Ant-Man and the genius re-tooling of Captain America’s on-screen image, the Comic conveyor belt certainly know what they are doing.
Marvel’s Doctor Strange also boasts the all-star cast of Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Mads Mikkelsen.
