Katherine Waterston, the brilliant actress that was seen in of Inherent Vice and who will appear in the upcoming Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, has landed the lead role in Ridley Scott’s Prometheus sequel, Alien: Covenant.
The American actress, who was born in London, was also seen playing opposite Michael Fassbender in Steve Jobs earlier this year, and it looks like she’ll re-team with him in the new Prometheus movie.
Waterston will play the role of Daniels in the film, which starts shooting in February, a role that Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation star Rebecca Ferguson was once linked with. She’ll head back to the Tom Cruise franchise, as well as the adaptation of The Girl On A Train instead.
Alien: Covenant will be released in October 2017. More as we get it.
