Jeremy Renner is all set to play legendary boxer Rocky Marciano in a brand new biopic, so reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The planned film will be called Undefeated: The Rocky Marciano Story and will focus on the boxer’s unmatched career in which he was undefeated in 49 bouts. The trade reports that Samuel Franco and Evan Kilgore have written the script, with producers currently seeking a director.
Marciano held the heavyweight championship from September 23, 1952 to April 27, 1956, though began his professional career in 1948. He died at a relatively young age (just 45) in a plane crash in 1969.
There’s not a lot more info on the planned biopic, but we’ll bring you more news as we get it.
