One of the best films that we’ve seen in quite a long while is the superb Room from director Lenny Abrahamson. We reviewed the film back at the London Film Festival, and just yesterday I caught up with Abrahamson and the young actor in the film, Jacob Tremblay.
We talked about the film quite a bit, and also about what it was like for Jacob, who is just eight-years-old, to act in such a big role. Ahead of the full interview, which we’ll run in January when the film is released, here’s a brief snippet of the young actor talking about his experience at the Moet British Independent Film Awards where the film won Best International Independent Film on Sunday evening. You can also catch our full review of Room over here, and the trailer for the film here.
Here’s Jacob, a huge new talent talking about the BIFA win. He’s absolutely brilliant, and adorable too.
We’ll be posting the full interview with Jacob and Lenny in January nearer to the release, so make sure you come back to check it out in the new year.
Room opens on January 15th, 2016.
