Prepare for your mind to be blown. The Ip Man movies have managed to become a franchise after gaining a huge on foreign soil. So far the films have made a approximately $40 million over the two films that have already been release, which while not sounding all that much, were made for a relatively low budget (Wikipedia lists Ip Man‘s budget set at around $12 million and the sequel at just under $13 million) .
In 2016 the third Ip Man movie, Ip Man 3 will be released, and this one promises to take things to the next level. The third movie will star Mike Tyson, and Grandmaster Yip Man’s pupil Bruce Lee, who will be recreated through CGI. Interestingly, Tyson reportedly plays a street fighter and erm, property developer.
The first trailer for the film has just dropped, and you can watch it below. The film will be released in its domestic territories on Christmas Eve.
