Riz Ahmed (Nightcrawler, Four Lions) has joined the cast of Bourne 5, which is now shooting with Matt Damon headlining and Paul Greengrass directing.
Variety have unleashed the news of Ahmed’s casting, as he moves from shooting Rogue One, the new Star Wars spin-off from Gareth Edwards, to the action movie which is currently in production.
The trade reports that Ahmed could possibly be playing a tech specialist at the CIA.
Julia Stiles, Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel, Scott Shepherd and Tommy Lee Jones are also cast in the sequel, which will once again feature the further adventures of Jason Bourne, who was last seen in 2007’s The Bourne Ultimatum.
Shooting continues on the movie, which is released next year.
