An Ocean’s Eleven reboot is on the way with Sandra Bullock leading an all-female cast this time around. The George Clooney and Brad Pitt starring original was released back in 2001, and that movie was actually based on a Rat-Pack flick from decades ago, but it seems that Hollywood has run out of ideas once gain, and wants a remake.
Clooney and the Ocean’s 11, 12, and 13 director Steven Soderbergh are actively involved behind the scenes, while Olivia Milch will write the screenplay.
There’s a chance that Clooney may also cameo in the new movie too, but one question remains; what will they call it? The ‘Ocean’s’ in the title referred to Clooney’s character, Danny Ocean, so will Bullock’s character potentially be related?
The original movie revolved around a group of thieves’ plans to bust three Las Vegas casinos. Matt Damon, Casey Affleck, Scott Caan, Elliot Gould and many more top actors starred in the first set of movies.
Pleasantville and the first The Hunger Games director Gary Ross will helm the new movie, which is set up over at Warner Bros.
All seems a bit soon for me.
