Briefly. After years of being stuck in development hell, a sequel to Bad Santa will finally start shooting in January. The new broke over at Variety who confirm that Miramax and Broad Green Pictures will push ahead with the sequel for a late 2016 release, with Billy Bob Thornton reprising his role as Willie Soke.
Zanne Devine of Miramax told the trade: “We’ve been waiting far too long to see Billy Bob’s Willie Soke mess with the holiday season in his own unique way.”
The original movie grossed $60 million all of the way back in 2003.
