Frightfest Shockathon Line-Up

Frightfest Shockathon Line-Up

Summer came to a scary end in London as the annual Frightfest event took over London’s Leicester square over the bank holiday weekend. Not content with keeping the scares confined to the four day festival the team will be hosting a very special Halloween event at the Prince Charles Cinema.

The event, which has the moniker Shockathon, is taking place on Saturday 24th October and will see six brand new movies screened including two world premières, a European première and two UK premières; basically if you go you’ll be seeing something before everyone else. Proceedings will kick off at 11am with a mystery movie before screening The Vatican TapesThe UnspokenMomentumBelly of the Bulldog, and I Spit on Your Grave III: Vengeance is Mine.

As with the summer event there will be plenty of talent from the films in attendance; the first to be confirmed are Momentum actors James Purefoy and Olga Kurylenko.

Speaking about the horror marathon, co-director Alan Jones said today:

“Enough with the after dark jitters, caffeine fixes and trying to stay awake through the last movie. FrightFest is always ahead of the curve when it comes to redefining event experiences so here’s our latest innovation. All before midnight you’ll delight in fright with six of the must-see movies of the moment. Carefully selected by the FrightFest team of experts to show exactly where the genre is right now, these six nightmares before Christmas are tales of Halloween you just have to witness”.

Passes for the London event cost £45 and go on sale from Saturday 3rd October. To book, go here.
