Taken TV series ordered by network station NBC in the US!
The original Taken movie was an absolute belter. R-rated (18 in the UK), Liam Neeson at the forefront of a movie which would turn him into an action star – in his fifties. The latter two films went off like a damp squib, but did make a ton of money – especially for its star, and now creator Luc Besson wants to bring a prequel to the films to the small screen in a new Taken TV series.
NBC has handed EuropaCorp and Universal TV a cheque to bring a full series based on the earlier years of Brian Mills to the small screen. The show will apparently revolve around how he mastered those particularly special set of skills, and presumably won’t have Neeson involved.
There isn’t actually a script in place yet, but the studios are sorting that out as we speak. We’re kind of hoping that Besson will pen a few episodes and glide on in to direct a few too, though that’s probably a bit doubtful as he only produced the movies through his very successful EuropaCorp company.
Here’s the plot of the first film – easily still the best of the series so far. We like is so much, we might throw this one on this very night. If we can find it… WE WILL FIND IT!

Then his worst fears become real when sex slavers abduct Kim and her friend shortly after they arrive in Paris for vacation. With just four days until Kim will be auctioned off, Bryan must call on every skill he learned in black ops to rescue her.[/quote_box_center]
So, what do we think of a Taken TV series then?
