Darren Aronofsky is apparenty in the very early stages of talks to direct Channing Tatum in a movie based on the life of legendary daredevil Evel Knievel. It’s not actually confirmed that Tatum will absolutely star in the film, but he and his producing partner Reid Carolin are definitely producing, and Tatum is absolutely obsessed with the stuntman.
Knievel was a legend back in his heyday of the 1970s and 1980s where his many televised stunts included 75 ramp-to-ramp motorcycle jumps, including an infamous appearence at London’s Wembley Stadium, and another across the Grand Canyan. Knievel holds the Guinness world record of most broken bones in a lifetime, with 433 bone-fractures accumilated over his career. Knievel died at the age of 69 in 2007.
No word as to how far the talks are down the line for Aronofky’s gig as director, or a confirmation that Tatum will star in the lead, but we’ll keep you posted.

Channing Tatum, there’s plenty of other roles he can do, but its like Jeremy Renner, McConaughy and a slew of others died last night or something! I mean was he really the first choice?
