A brand new featurette for the upcoming Johnny Depp-led ensemble crime drama Black Mass, has just been released. The short feature gives a behind-the-scenes look at Johnny Depp’s transformation into Boston’s most notorious gangster, including interviews with Johnny’s co-stars including Benedict Cumberbatch and Joel Edgerton, and director Scott Cooper.
In 1970s South Boston, FBI Agent John Connolly (Edgerton) persuades Irish mobster Jimmy Bulger (Depp) to collaborate with the FBI in order to eliminate their common enemy: the Italian mob. The drama tells the story of this unholy alliance, which spiraled out of control, allowing Whitey to evade law enforcement while consolidating his power and becoming one of the most ruthless and dangerous gangsters in Boston history.
Take a look at the new featurette below. Black Mass opens in UK cinemas on November 27th, 2015, and US cinemas next week, September 18th.
