Like most of you, THN are big fans of the hugely versatile Jake Gyllenhaal and so we think you’re going to love the vibe of this first trailer for the Jean-Marc Vallée-directed Demolition.
Gyllenhall plays Davis, an investment banker who’s cruising along in his life but tragedy strikes when he and his wife are in a car crash and she’s killed. After that horrific moment, Davis struggles to cope and despite constant pressure from his father-in-law (Chris Cooper), he still can’t find the strength to pull his life back together.
Naomi Watts and young Judah Lewis also co-star, check out the trailer below to really get the feels and delve into Demolition. This is one I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for, there’s a lot of issues raised and knowing Jake, he’s always looking for the roles with the right messages.
Watch now:
Demolition premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, then opens in the US on April 8 2016. European dates are to be confirmed.
