Liev Schrieber says he would be up for reprising his role of Sabretooth from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Schreiber appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon earlier on this week, and commented that while he is not yet involved with the last Hugh Jackman Wolverine movie [The Wolverine 3], he may be up for it.
Well what I heard was, I mean I don’t know if I’m invited, I heard that the storyline is Old Man Logan, and when I heard that I thought ‘well, you know, there’s Old Man Logan, there could be Old Man Sabretooth.’
Hang on Liev; ‘Origins’ was only 2009 – you’re not that old dude. Schreiber’s Sabretooth was the best thing about the dire, CGI-heavy disaster that was X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which was directed by Gavin Hood, and I know that the fans would dig a return of his character, aka Victor Creed.
Schreiber will next be seen in Ed Zwick’s chess biopic Pawn Sacrifice, which is out in a couple of weeks in the US, and in the Showtime drama Ray Donovan, which is one of the best original series’ now playing on television.
Here’s the full interview from this week’s Fallon.
