Marvel Studios now reports directly to Disney

Marvel Studios’ head-honcho Kevin Feige will now report directly to Alan Horn, the chairman of The Walt Disney Company, rather than Marvel Entertainment, so reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Up until now Feige and his film studio reported directly to Marvel Entertainment CEO Isaac ‘Ike’ Perlmutter, but that is now no longer the case, according to the trade.

“Marvel Studios is taking the next logical step in its integration with The Walt Disney Studios, joining Pixar and Lucasfilm in centralising many of its film-related functions in Burbank, with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and co-president Louis D’Esposito continuing to lead the Marvel Studios team reporting to Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn,” said a Disney spokesperson.

The move kind of makes sense due to the nature of the business, though it is said that the television enterprises like Daredevil amd the upcoming Jessica Jones series will still remain under the watch of Marvel Entertainment.
