First look clip and poster for The Hallow which screens at this year’s FrightFest.
We have a first look clip and poster for The Hallow (previously titled The Woods), an upcoming horror movie that will debut at this year’s Film 4 FrightFest in London tomorrow (Saturday 29th August), before hitting cinemas in the UK in November.
The film stars Bojana Novakovic, Michael McElhatton, Joseph Mawle and Michael Smiley, and comes to the horror celebration festival after wowing audiences at Sundance and the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
Here’s the synopsis:
[quote_box_center]When a London-based conservationist is sent to Ireland to survey an area of ancient forest believed by the superstitious locals to be hallowed ground, he unwittingly disturbs a horde of terrifying beings and must fight to protect his family.[/quote_box_center]
The movie marks the directorial debut of Corin Hardy, a former music video director, who has worked with the likes of Keane (on their Bedshaped music video plus others), Rizzle Kicks, The Prodigy and Olly Murs, who has a definite love of the horror genre. We’ll be reviewing The Hallow as it screens at the festival, but here’s that brand new clip and poster for the film.
The Hallow opens in UK cinemas from November 13th, 2015. US audiences will get it on Nov. 6th.
