Elf Musical London will open in October.
The full cast for the West End production of the Elf musical has been revealed. The Christmas themed musical, based on the Will Ferrell-starring film of the same name, opens at the Dominion Theatre in London on 24th October. It will run at the famous Tottenham Court Road venue until the 2nd January.
Starring as the title character (aka Buddy) will be Ben Forster, while former Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh will appear as Jovie, Joe McGann as Walter Hobbs, Jessica Martin as Emily Hobbs, Jennie Dale as Deb, Mark McKerracher as Santa and Graham Lappin as Store Manager.
Also appearing in the production will be Katie Bradley, Charlie Bull, Nicola Coates, Alex Fobbester, Anton Fosh, Charlotte Gale, Francis Haugen, Matt Holland, Tash Holway, Paul Hutton, Mark Iles, Ceili O’Connor, Debbie Paul, Joanna Rennie, Barnaby Thompson and Ed White. Harry Collett, Ilan Galkoff, Noah Key and Ewan Rutherford will alternate the role of Michael.
The story of Elf revolves around Buddy, a young orphan who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list, and his step-brother doesn’t even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.
Elf: The Musical has been a huge hit on Broadway since 2010, and the film is still loved and watched every festive season by pretty much everyone here ar THN. The 10-week musical run is sure to delight too.
