Jackson and Wilkinson head to Kong: Skull Island: Two all set to join the Universal/ Legendary film which will be released on March 10, 2017.
It may have lost recent Oscar-winners Michael Keaton and J.K. Simmons recently, but Legendary Pictures’ Kong: Skull Island may have found some new talent. According to reports, Samuel L. Jackson and Tom Wilkinson may be added to the cast.
Jackson is said to be in early talks to join the monster movie, while John C. Reilly is also apparently chatting about replacing Keaton. Wilkinson is also up for another lead in the film.
Brie Larson will play the female lead in the movie, along with Corey Hawkins (upcoming Straight Outta Compton), who is also locked down. The film is written by John Gatins and Max Borenstein and directed by Kings of Summer helmer Jordan Vogt-Roberts.
Here’s the official plot:
KONG: SKULL ISLAND will fully immerse audiences in the mysterious and dangerous home of the king of the apes as a team of explorers ventures deep inside the treacherous, primordial island. Legendary’s story honors the foundations of existing King Kong lore, but places it in an entirely new, distinct timeline.
The film will be released by Universal Pictures on March 10, 2017.
