She kicked a whole load of ass at the weekend and managed to win a huge match against Bethe Correia in just 34 seconds, and now UFC champ Ronda Rousey is getting her own biopic.
Variety are reporting that Rousey’s book My Fight/Your Fight has been optioned Paramount, who have hired Mark Bomback (The Wolverine, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes) to adapt it into a screenplay.
The word is that Rousey is set to play herself in the film. She’s obviously got some experience behind her after a pretty big supporting part in this year’s Entourage movie (playing herself), and previous roles in The Expendables 3 and the massive Fast & Furious 7.
“It’s a real honour to be a part of bringing Ronda’s incredible story to the big screen”, producer Mary Parent told Variety.
Rousey is the first and current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, and the last Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion. Rousey also won a medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics; the first U.S. woman to earn one for Judo.
She’s pretty great. Read more about her on her official site.
