Chris Pine officially on board as the love interest in the Patty Jenkins directed Wonder Woman movie over at Warner Bros.
We reported the rumour that Star Trek star Chris Pine was about to join the Wonder Woman movie a little while back, but now it looks like it is finally a done deal.
According to TheWrap, Pine is now officially on board the stand-alone Wonder Woman movie, which is being led by Gal Gadot, as Steve Trevor, the primary love-interest of Diana Prince. The deal over at Warner Bros. includes the initial 2017 released movie, plus sequel options.
Here’s WikiPedia’s description of the character of Steve Trevor.
[quote_box_center]In the original version of Wonder Woman’s origin story, Steve Trevor was an intelligence officer in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II whose plane crashed on Paradise Island, the isolated homeland of the Amazons. He was nursed back to health by the Amazon princess Diana, who fell in love with him and followed him when he returned to the outside world. There she became Wonder Woman (and also his coworker, Diana Prince).[/quote_box_center]
The film is being directed by Patty Jenkins, and will release worldwide on 23rd June, 2017.
Wonder Woman will make her big-screen debut in next year’s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.
