Singer teases with X-Men Apocalypse set photos

Over on Instagram, director Bryan Singer has been teasing some more stuff while shooting X-Men: Apocalypse. The film, currently shooting, managed to get footage ready for ComicCon despite only having been filming for a few weeks. This lead many to question the use of costume and prosthesis on Oscar Isaac‘s new big baddy Apocalypse, although word is that some CG will be added to the mix later.

The latest photos serve a s a reminder that the film is very much still in production. We get to see the director himself walking through a ruined set of Cairo. Singer discussing with his production designer regarding the opening scene, and a reveal that General Stryker (or is that Mystique?), once again played by Josh Helman.

X-Men: Apocalypse will be set in the 1980s as part of the new time frame that resulted from the time-travelling antics of X-Men: Days Of Future Past. This means old favourites can return without a care for continuity. We’ll see the world’s first mutant, Apocalypse, use his powers in extraordinary ways which could spell doom for all.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
