Brooding former Wolfman and expert mumbler Benicio Del Toro dipped his toe into intergalactic waters via Guardians Of The Galaxy. But if director Rian Johnson has his way, he’ll be consolidating his cosmic status with a part in Star Wars Episode VIII.
Disney have enough on their plate keeping Episode VII under wraps in the run up to its release in December, but as the next chapter begins casting the star’s name has reportedly been thrown in the ring.
While it would be easy to assume he’s going to be wanted for the Dark Side of the Force… well, actually it’s not likely he’s playing an Ewok is it, so odds are he’ll be Sithing it up alongside cast members Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.
Episode VII: The Force Awakens is set to be tractor-beamed into cinemas May 2017.
