THN exclusive: Original star of ‘She’s All That’ weighs in on the remake

shes all that

All the stars of television and film past and present descended upon London’s Olympia this weekend for the annual London Film and Comic Con. One such star was Jodi Lyn O’Keefe. O’Keefe has starred in a variety of different projects over the years including Prison BreakNash Bridges and most recently The Vampire Diaries. To a select few of us here at THN though she will always be fame-hungry mean girl Taylor Vaughn in She’s All That.

A little while ago we heard the rumour that reboot plans were in the motion for the 1999 teen classic which saw Freddie Prinze Jr turn social outcast Laney Boggs (Rachel Leigh Cook) into little miss popular. Since that news broke we’ve heard very little, but seized the chance to find out who O’Keefe believe’s could step into her shoes:

There have been rumours about a She’s All That remake…

I’ve heard that.

…Who do you think could play your character?

I did an interview where they asked if I had a wish who could play me who would I pick, any I wanted, and I said Rachel McAdams because she was the greatest mean girl of all time, but I don’t think that she would do it (laughs).

O’Keefe clearly has good taste as McAdams really was terrifyingly good at playing head bitch in Mean GirlsSadly though we also think O’Keefe is right in saying that McAdams wouldn’t do it, but you never know…
