Ben Affleck to direct Batman movie

Ben Affleck to direct Batman movie following next year’s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

Ben Affleck is to reportedly direct a solo Batman movie for DC and Warner Brothers in 2018, according to reports. Warner Brothers has apparently hired Chris Terrio to write the script for the film, which is being referred to as simply ‘The Batman.’

Terrio is tackling Zack Snyder‘s two Justice League movies, and is also the guy behind Affleck’s Oscar-winning Argo. Latino Review are reporting that WB and DC are looking at a potential November 2018 release for The Batman, which would see it wedged between those two Justice League films, which are set for release in 2017 and 2019.

Affleck will be seen in the Justice League movies, and also next year’s Suicide Squad as Bruce Wayne/ Batman. He then has organised crime movie Live By Night which he is directing, based on the novel of the same name by Dennis Lehane. Zoe Saldana and Sienna Miller will star alongside Affleck in the film, which is set to go into production later this year.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will hit cinemas globally in March 2016 (26th).
