Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence will team up for sci-fi movie Passengers for writer Jon Spaihts and The Imitation Game director Morten Tyldum.
He is riding high off of the huge success of Jurassic World, while she continues to be an international icon, and an altogether awesome human being. Yes, the hottest two actors in Hollywood, Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence are set to unite for the upcoming sci-fi/drama Passengers. The film has been in the works for quite some time, and now it looks like it will be fast-tracked with these two A-listers involved. Morten Tyldum will direct from a Jon Spaihts script, with shooting set to begin in September.
Passengers follows a man (Chris Pratt) who finds himself woken ninety years early from cryogenic sleep on board a colony ship partway through its decades long journey through space. Faced with the prospect of spending decades alone he decides to wake up another passenger (Jennifer Lawrence) which sparks a unique romance between the two.
These two’s personalities are very similar, and both have that cheeky, down to Earth aspect about themselves, so it’ll be interesting to see how that match on screen.
The budget for Passengers is currently set at a huge $90 million, with a reported $20 million going to Lawrence and $12 million going straight into Pratt’s pocket. Lawrence will also pocket 30% of the film’s box-office take, as soon as the profit breaks even. Now that is a pay-day and half.
The project is housed over at Sony.
