Assassin’s Creed movie to shoot in September.
We’ve just come across a what looks like a promotional poster for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie. Now, this looks like a piece of promotional artwork from either a film market, or possibly a Comic Con, or something similar, as you’ll notice the ‘find us at booth P165’ on the top right hand side of it. Now, this could also be a fake as we cannot find an official source for it, as an anonymous user posted it to Imgur earlier today. Either way, we thought that it was quite cool and worth sharing with you.
So, the Assassin’s Creed movie will start shooting shortly for that advertised December 2016 release date. Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard will star in it, reuniting with their Macbeth director Justin Kurzel (Snowtown).
The Assassin’s Creed movie will, of course, be based on the popular video game from Ubisoft, and will kick off shooting in September with Frank Marshall producing. It has been a long wait for the film to kick into production, but Fassbender assures us that it’ll be worth the wait.
“You say it’s a long time but what I’ve found — it’s all new to me but starting to develop scripts and work on them, they take time,” he said. “It just takes time to get a good story together and we really want to do it right. It’s exciting. It’s going to start this year, we’ll be filming in September.”
Scott Frank (The Wolverine, Minority Report), Adam Cooper and Bill Collage worked on the script.
The Assassin’s Creed movie will be released in cinemas on the 16th December, 2016. We’re pretty sure that this will have an appearance at next month’s San Diego Comic Con, so keep it THN for more news as it breaks.
