He’s been in more movie franchises than a Rancor’s had hot dinners. So it was no surprise to learn character Brit par excellence Andy Serkis had gotten cast in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
The big question… who was Serkis playing? Well, after Gollum, Kong, Caesar and Ulysses Klaw his contribution to the Lucasfilm/Disney universe has finally been revealed…
As you can see, he’s back in the motion capture suit as new creation Supreme Leader Snoke. No details yet on how he’ll eventually look, but it’s guaranteed the character will bear all the hallmarks of a Serkis performance.
StarWars.com released the image via a feature with legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz.
The CGI-enhanced actor takes his place alongside Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and many others when Episode VII – directed by J.J. Abrams – braves the cinematic meteor storm in December.
