First-Look: Matt Damon meets Mars in Ridley Scott’s ‘The Martian’!

Matt Damon had a rough ride up in space in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar last year, so you’d think the last thing he’d want to do is suit up and blast off again. However that’s exactly what he’s done, heading to the Red Planet under the direction of another cinematic visionary – Ridley Scott.

People Magazine and Entertainment Weekly have released a capsule full of snaps from the upcoming adaptation of Andy Weir’s novel The Martian, following astronaut/nut Mark Watney. He becomes trapped on Mars after a storm, and a Robinson Crusoe-esque tale unfolds as Earth unites behind an audacious attempt to bring him back. Check out the sandy goodness below…
