First-Look: Cooper, Poehler, Rudd & more go back in time for ‘Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp’

Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler and Paul Rudd are returning to the scene of their 2001 comedy Wet Hot American Summer. The original saw many of Hollywood’s best and brightest populate a Jewish summer camp in a spoof of 1980s teen movies.

Now Netflix have produced an eight-episode prequel series, and released the following images of the cast in unbridled hormonal action for Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp

WHAS-6310.CR2WHAS-3971.CR2WHAS-4139.CR2WHAS-4159.CR2DSC_2848.NEFThe show sees many of the now-middle-aged cast reprise their randy teen roles, only several weeks younger! Pictured beneath the top shot of Poehler and Cooper are: Elizabeth Banks, Molly Shannon, Janeane Garofalo and of course Rudd giving a lucky girl the backrub from Hell.

Other actors who’ve agreed to revisit their misspent onscreen youths include David Hyde Pierce and Marisa Ryan. Fellow camper Michael Showalter is back to co-write the script with WHAS director David Wain. More pictures can be found here.

Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp romps onto Netflix July 31st.
