They haven’t got Now You See Me 2 in cinemas yet – indeed that movie is a year off release, but Lionsgate are already planning Now You See Me 3 as the studio works to focus in more on their franchise opportunities.
Speaking on a conference call with earning analysts, CEO Jon Feltheimer said: “We’ve already begun early planning for ‘Now You See Me 3.’”
The word, via Variety, is that Lionsgate is expecting Now You See Me 2 to top the $350 million in earnings from the first film in the series, that saw Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine star.
The studio is also planning a sequel to this year’s surprise hit John Wick, starring Keanu Reeves.
