First clips land from Michael Fassbender’s Macbeth

The first clips from the upcoming Macbeth adaptation which stars Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard have been released.

The film, directed by Justin Kurzel, enters cinemas later this year and is a brand new take on William Shakespeare’s classic story.

Macbeth is the story of a fearless warrior and inspiring leader brought low by ambition and desire. A thrilling interpretation of the dramatic realities of the times and a reimagining of what wartime must have been like for one of Shakespeare’s most famous and compelling characters, a story of all consuming passion and ambition, set in war torn Scottish landscape.

Kurzel, Cotillard and Fassbender will all team for the planned adaptation of the video game Assassin’s Creed, which will start shooting later this year.
