Asif Kapadia’s SENNA was something truly special and so when it was revealed that he’d be picking up and taking on the story of Amy Winehouse’s equally stunning and tragic short life, there was everything to be intrigued about.
There’s already been a spine-tingling teaser released (watch here) and now this first, full trailer reveals a little more but keeps in the same ground as the first one mixing up sound-bites with snippets of home videos from her life. Having just screened at Cannes to critical acclaim and already dragging up controversy with those closest to her, it’s sure to reveal and will hopefully give fans a true insight of the sad demise of a true modern legend.
I was massively admired the Cobain documentary and fully expect this to be on that level. Watch the trailer now:
AMY opens in the UK at cinemas on July 3rd.
