‘Pitch Perfect 2’ star Rebel Wilson won’t do karaoke unless she is being paid to sing in a film.
The comedy actress thinks her fans assume she enjoys singing-a-long to songs in bars, because she sings in the movie – which also stars ‘Twilight’ actress Anna Kendrick, ‘Prom Night’ star Brittany Snow and Elizabeth Banks.
She told Glamour magazine: “A lot of people think – because we sing in the movie and whatever – that we would do karaoke, but I have a thing against karaoke. The microphones are never good quality, they have always been dropped, and a lot or people are screaming into them and the vocal sound quality is never the right mix and I’m like, ‘No!’ I’ll sing in a movie – when I’m getting paid.”
Although she doesn’t enjoy the pastime, Rebel has boasted that she can belt out an impressive version of Sir Elton John’s ‘Crocodile Rock’.
She previously said: “The best karaoke song I do is Elton John’s ‘Crocodile Rock’, because I like the chorus.”
Meanwhile, ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ has been crowned the highest-grossing movie musical of all time and is currently number one at the box office in America.
