Probably best known to UK audiences for his role as Sean Slater in Eastenders, we have just been given our first look at Robert Kazinsky’s character from the upcoming video game adaptation, WARCRAFT. Unrecognisable as an orc known as Orgrim, Kazinsky finally gets his pretty sizable teeth into a fantasy role after ‘personal reasons’ caused him to leave THE HOBBIT trilogy. That’s alright though, as he got to star in teh absolutely awesome PACIFIC RIM.
Duncan Jones directs, hoping to put the curse of the video game adaptation to rest. WARCRAFT is set in a fantasy world with warring orcs, mages, knights and so forth. As the games are fairly open in terms of story, the film and predicted resulting universe certainly has a lot of freedom to move around.
Speaking of Kazinsky in the role, Jones had this to say:
[quote_box_center]We were looking for someone who would be able to perform the gruffness, the humor, and the toughness of this character.[/quote_box_center]
It certainly looks very impressive in still form, so let’s hope that Orgrim retains the magic once he’s brought to life.
WARCRAFT is released 10th June 2016. It stars Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Robert Kazinsky, and Clancy Brown.
Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.

Orgrim (with an R) is an orc, not an ogre.
