Denis Villeneuve has started to come to prominence somewhat more in the past few years with unique hits such as PRISONERS and ENEMY. Next up, with an all-star cast, is SICARO which sets itself up in the lawless border area stretching between the U.S. and Mexico, where an idealistic FBI agent (Emily Blunt) is enlisted by an elite government task force official (Josh Brolin) to aid in the escalating war against drugs. That’s not all though, it’s all led by enigmatic consultant (Benicio Del Toro), who has a questionable past…
Tough stuff coming up, we’d rationally assume.

SICARO premieres at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday 19th May, and opens in the UK and in North America on 18th September.
