‘Ratchet And Clank’ Find Their Voices And Release Date

Ratchet and Clank 1

The annual Cannes festival has now kicked off, can you believe it’s already been a year since Sly, Arnie and the rest of THE EXPENDABLES cast went for a tank ride? Expect the site to be riddled with various Cannes related breaking news over the coming days.

First up is a whole heap of new information about RATCHET AND CLANK. Based on one of the Sony’s most popular game franchises, the film follows the ever ongoing adventures of Lombax Ratchet and his robotic companion Clank. The games were predominately platformers though they had elements of pretty much every other game genre going. They were also full of fun for all ages humour and featured some rather peculiar weaponry – the suck cannon anyone?

The animate feature is thankfully keeping the franchise’s main vocal talent, James Arnold Taylor (Ratchet), David Kaye (Clank), Jim Ward (Captain Quark) and Armin Shimerman (Nefarious), but is adding some big names to the new supporting roles. ‘Who?’ I hear you cry? None other than Paul Giamatti, John Goodman, Bella Thorne, Rosario Dawson and Sylvester Stallone. Character details have not been revealed yet but such high profile stars will surely skyrocket the film up the radar.

RATCHET AND CLANK also confirmed its release date (well it’s US one at least) with the dynamic duo hitting big screens across the United States on 29th April 2016. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer until we get confirmation of a UK date, I for one am very excited for this movie as I love the games (so much so I have a cat called Ratchet).
