Lindsay Lohan will provide “one-on-one attention” to children during her community service.
The 28-year-old actress will reportedly be interacting directly with pre-school-aged kids who will “benefit” from spending time with the star as she finishes off her court ordered volunteer work at the Duffield Children’s Centre in Brooklyn, New York.
Despite arriving over two hours late for her first shift at the centre yesterday (13.05.15) the ‘Mean Girls’ actress will be given an important role in helping to teach and work closely alongside the youngsters.
An insider told the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six: “There is a lot of teaching, a lot of doing projects throughout the day. Most likely she’ll be providing one-to-one attention to a child who would benefit from it.
“They actually encourage volunteer and parent participation, because the more one-on-one attention, the better.”
Lindsay reportedly left staff at the centre “speechless” when she failed to turn up on time particularly because she had tweeted on Monday (11.05.15) to say she was back in the US and “ready to help”.
She is also on a tight schedule to complete her remaining hours of community service before May 28 or face jail time after falling “woefully short” of her allotted 125 hours having clocked up a mere 9.5 hours last week.
She was ordered to do more hours in February after a Los Angeles judge criticised certain tasks she had counted as part of her punishment for reckless driving in 2012, including a meet-and-greet sessions with fans in London.
