The upcoming sequel to last years NINJA TURTLES reboot has just added a new cast member to the already growing ensemble – one that may appear familiar to fans of the original 1990 film.
Comingsoon.net has revealed through a very clear set of set photos that none other than the original April O’Neill herself will feature in the film, alongside the current April, Megan Fox.
Though Hoag’s role in the film (and how big it is set to be) is at this point, a mystery, from the looks of her attire and the fact that she’s generally hanging around with Will Arnett’s Vernon Fenwick and Fox’s current O’ Neill, it might be safe to assume that she’s a part of the news team, perhaps a bigwig that our intrepid reporters need to report in to, or a rival broadcaster looking to steal the scoop?
Hoag hasn’t exactly been secretive about her part in the new movie – her Twitter feed has been buzzing with TMNT clues for weeks, hinting at a return to the franchise that helped to kickstart her career way back in 1990.

Hoag joins a growing ensemble cast that thus far includes Brian Tee as Shredder, Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, and Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman, alongside presumably CGI’d versions of fan favourites Beebop and Rocksteady.
With Dave Green at the helm, the heroes in a half-shell are due to explode back on to cinema screens June 2016.
