Happy Birthday Rosario Dawson! With Marvel’s Daredevil due to return next year, Netflix and Marvel have confirmed the star has agreed to reprise her role of Claire Temple in the acclaimed series, with the deal also allowing her to appear in any of the pair’s other collaborations.
Jeph Loeb (Head of Marvel TV and Executive Producer on Daredevil) had this to say of the news:
‘After working with Rosario in the first season, we knew instantly that we had to have her back for our second. Claire Temple proved a fan favourite in season one, and we can’t wait for fans to see all the plans we have for her next.’
Proving to be a useful ally as well as a romantic interest to Matt Murdock in the show, Claire Temple does also feature in other Defenders comics, so it’ll be interesting to see how her role develops in future series. Considering Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones is set for release later this year and Luke Cage is expected during 2016, not to mention the Iron Fist series and Defenders mini-series that are in the pipeline, the character could be set for a busy time.
Marvel’s Daredevil is available now on Netflix, with the second series due for a 2016 release.
