Have A Furious Friday With Mel Gibson At The ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ LA Premiere

The cast and crew endured a gruelling, action-packed shoot in Namibia and fans of the MAD MAX franchise have waited with bated, post-apocalyptic breath over decades for the latest adventure of their tortured hero, a certain Mr. Rockatansky.

Well, the dark dream finally came to fruition in the warm but far less hostile climes of LA last night, as the premiere of FURY ROAD battered an eager audience…

The biggest surprise of the night was an appearance by “Classic Max” Mel Gibson. He was rumoured to be cameoing in FURY ROAD, but while that didn’t happen he was clearly happy to lend his support to director George Miller and new star Tom Hardy…

Miller must have been thanking his lucky stars the long-gestating project had come together, with expectation as high as a head on a spike for the fourth chapter…

The story sees Max teaming up with the crew of a mighty War Rig, fleeing across the oil-starved scorchery they call home, pursued by the fearsome Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne).

    Two generations of Mad Max; awesome! Tom will do Max more than justice….top notch actor!
