Ever since he portrayed Anakin Skywalker in the STAR WARS prequels actor Hayden Christensen has had a hard time of it. Fans took their frustrations with the modern trilogy out on him, blaming his wooden acting for making the films so bad and forgetting that an actor is limited by their script and director. He did though star in SHATTERED GLASS which earned him some acting praise and his turn in JUMPER was a lot of fun.
The last we heard of Christensen he was starring in OUTCAST with Nicolas Cage which meant one of two things; it was either going to be really good, or really bad. Our money is on it being really bad but we’re hopeful that Christensen’s next release AMERICAN HEIST might be a little better. The film sees Hayden star alongside Academy Award winner Adrien Brody in AMERICAN HESIT. The synopsis of the film is thus:
James has a dark past, but now he is trying with all his might to change his life. Meanwhile, his older brother, Frankie, who served ten years in prison, is released. He attempts to start a new life that James did not add up: as an ex-con, he cannot expect to get a good job. Seeing this, Frankie offers James to “conduct a little business. He swears it’s the last time and after a bank robbery in New Orleans, they have money, and they will refund his life that was once lost. As a result of “a little business”, it will become one of the most dramatic and bloody attacks in American history…
