Regular readers will know that the following news has made this writer exceptionally ecstatic – JOHN WICK is getting a sequel. Lionsgate announced the news earlier today, confirming that Keanu is more than happy to step back into Wick’s tailored suits.
JOHN WICK took everybody by surprise with just how amazing it was. Very much a stylish, self-knowing and most importantly, fun version of TAKEN, JOHN WICK had Reeves star as a retired hit man sucked back into the underworld after a tragic home invasion. Since its release life has imitated art and Reeves finds himself once more in demand.
Also back for the sequel are stunt men turned directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, as well as original scribe Derek Kolstad. It will be a while until we get any more details regarding plot and other potential returning cast, but rest assured, as soon as we know, you’ll know.
