First Look: Stephen Amell In ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2’

Despite it not being the most plot heavy movie last year’s TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES took a hefty slice of the worldwide box office. Taking an impressive $485 million the Michael Bay produced movie proved that there was still a lot of love for heroes in a half shell. A sequel was of course inevitable and the wheels are well in motion.

Last week we shared some images of the Turtle Van that will feature in the new popcorn flick. Now we can reveal an image of new cast member Stephen Amell as Casey Jones.

Turtle fans of course know that Casey Jones is a hockey stick wielding vigilante. Most incarnations of the character see him and April O’Neal become romantically involved, could Will Arnett’s Vernon have some competition this time round? Amell is no stranger to the vigilante code, currently starring as Oliver Queen, AKA Green Arrow, in The CW‘s series Arrow.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 2 is released on 3rd June 2016 in the US with a UK date still TBC.
