THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON opens in cinemas today much to the relief of Marvel fans everywhere. The film which is of course a follow-up to THE AVENGERS ASSEMBLE introduced several new characters to the cinematic Marvel universe; The Vision, Ultron, Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch. The latter is played by the Olsen twins’ younger sister Elizabeth Olsen and did a great job of almost stealing the film (read our review here).
Whilst over in the UK promoting the new release the actress took part in a Q and A at the Apple store and confirmed that AGE OF ULTRON isn’t the last we’ll see of her telekinetic alter-ego. When asked about whether she’d be seen in third CAPTAIN AMERICA outing CIVIL WAR she responded positively saying ‘I guess I’m allowed to talk about that now.’ She didn’t go into any more detail other than she starts filming in Atlanta in two weeks.
Olsen will join Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr and Jeremy Renner who are all back reprising their avenging roles. The plot will see avenger turn against avenger as Iron Man and Captain America duke it out.
CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR will be directed by WINTER SOLDIER directors Anthony and Joe Russo, and is released in UK cinemas April 29th 2016 and in the US on 6th May. Only a year to wait!
