For me and for fans, friends and, of course, family Amy Winehouse’s life went too soon but she left in her wake a timeless sound, an unerring story of sadness but it was all mixed up with a stunning talent and, of course, all the good times.
Earlier this week, we had the poster and today we’ve got the first trailer for AMY, the documentary of her life that will include Amy herself as the archives have been brought together for this must-see film. From Asif Kapadia, who also gave us the stunning SENNA, it’ll feature extensive unseen footage and previously unheard tracks.
The trailer brings shivers, both positive and poignant, and you can watch it now:
AMY is in UK cinemas on July 3rd. It’s produced by James Gay-Rees (Senna, Exit Through The Gift Shop) through On The Corner Films, AMY is released in the UK by Altitude Film Distribution.
